Heute (31.07.2024) erschienen ist „Heal Me“, die brandneue Single der Discofox/Euro Disco-Ikone Caroline Catharina Müller aka C.C. Catch, welche heute ihren 60. Geburtstag feiert.
Der Synthie Pop-Song der Sängerin, welche Mitte der Achtziger mit Songs wie „Cause You Are Young“, „Heaven and Hell“, „Strangers by Night“, „Are You Man Enough“ oder „Soul Survivor“ europaweit Erfolge feierte, ist eine Hommage an ihren Vater und Manager Peter Müller, der im April diesen Jahres verstorben ist.
Über das Tribut an ihren Vater, welches von ihrem langjährigen Weggefährten Luis Rodriguez (Modern Talking, Blue System, Touché, Lian Ross) produziert wurde, äußert sich C.C. Catch wie folgt:
„This song is incredibly special to me. My Papa was one of my greatest supporters throughout my life and my career. He was also a tremendous source of inspiration to me, my rock; often offering his guidance and, always, his support and love. Losing my beloved Papa so suddenly is one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. „Heal Me“ is my way of honouring his life. He’d heard the song some time ago and was very moved by it and excited for me to release this as a single. Granting his wish brings so much joy and healing to my heart, and my hope is that it will do the same for my fans. I can still feel my Papa’s energy with me, watching over me from heaven, and I’m very thankful for his Love and for everything he’s done for me in my life. The power of Music helps us all to heal, and my Papa told me that this song is much needed in times like this. This was his last wish, to make my fans happy with new, fresh music, and it is also the perfect way to honour the life of my wonderful Papa, who himself found such joy in music.“
